Prior to his professional career, he was a six-time Ireland Youth Champion. He also won a gold medal at the European Championships.

He made his professional fighting debut against Earl Henry on December 10, 2021. He won the fight via knockout.

Growing up, he lived with his family in Cork, Ireland. His father first took him to the boxing gym while he was only six years old.
