European soccer coach who became the manager of FC Bayern Munich in 2016 after previously serving as manager of Milan from 2001 to 2009, Paris Saint-Germain from 2011 to 2013, and Real Madrid from 2013-2016.
He played professionally in Italy for three different teams from 1976 to 1992.
He managed Chelsea to a FA Cup in 2010.
His son Davide also became a professional soccer player. He married Mariann Barrena McClay in 2014 and has a daughter named Katia.
He coached English striker Daniel Sturridge while managing Chelsea.
