ABOUT CARLOS CONDELL
Chilean naval officer who became a hero in the War of the Pacific.
He joined the military when he was fifteen years old.
He fought in the Battle of Punta Gruesa.
He married in 1877 while on civilian leave from the navy, and he and his wife had four children.
He and Alexander Kelly were both war heroes.
