Original drummer with the grunge band Nirvana before being replaced by Dave Grohl .

He met Kurt and Krist, the other two founding members of Nirvana, at a show while he was performing with the band Tick-Dolly-Row.

He is a vocalist and bassist with the group Before Cars.

He grew up in Santa Rosa, California.

He was in Nirvana with Kurt Cobain .
