ABOUT CHEA CHEAPOO

Liberian politician who served as the 15th Chief Justice of Liberia in 1987. He was impeached several months later for illegally ordering the arrest of a probate judge and his wife.

Before he was Chief Justice, he served as a Senator from Grand Gedeh County.

He was the first government official to be impeached in the history of Liberia.

He was accused of illegally ordering the arrest of his wife, which lead to his impeachment.

He and Alcee Hastings were both politicians who were impeached.
