Alaskan survival expert known for appearing in the National Geographic series Life Below Zero .

He was raised in Kalispell, Montana, where he learned to fish and hunt.

He is a skilled hunter and is proficient with a bow and arrow and a rifle.

His wife, Agnes, is from the Alaskan Inupiaq tribe. They have five daughters. She also had two sons from her first marriage.

He and Christi Lukasiak both became famous on reality series.
