Actor best known for playing Thor in the Marvel film series. His other movie credits include Rush , Red Dawn, The Cabin in the Woods , Vacation and In the Heart of the Sea . He was cast in the 2016 comedy Ghostbusters , a reboot of the 1980s films. In 2018, he was cast to star as Agent H in Men in Black: International .
Despite not receiving the role he auditioned for, he was called back and given a role on the Australian soap opera Home and Away in 2004.
He danced the Samba in the Australian version of Dancing with the Stars .
He married Spanish actress Elsa Pataky in 2010. The couple has a daughter named India and twin sons named Tristan and Sasha . His brothers are fellow actors Luke and Liam Hemsworth.
He played the Huntsman opposite Charlize Theron in the 2012 film Snow White and the Huntsman .
