She graduated with a degree in Education, specializing in reading, from Hardin Simmons University.
She worked on a children's version of her memoir.
She and her husband Kevin are the parents of three girls, Annabel, Abigail and Adelynn Beam .
She was portrayed by Jennifer Garner in the film Miracles From Heaven.
