ABOUT CLAIRE SAFFITZ

Freelance recipe developer, pastry chef and former Senior Food Editor at Bon Appétit magazine who began hosting the YouTube series Gourmet Makes for Bon Appétit's YouTube channel.

She graduated with honors from Harvard University in 2009. She later studied classic French cuisine and pastry at École Grégoire Ferrandi in Paris before completing her Master's degree in history at McGill University .

Her culinary-filled csaffitz Instagram account has more than 1 million followers.

She was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, and later resided in New York City.

She and Andrew Knowlton have both worked for Bon Appetit Magazine.
