
Cole Caufield
ABOUT COLE CAUFIELD
Hockey forward who finished as the 2020 Big Ten Scoring Champion while playing for the University of Wisconsin Badgers. He was also the Big Ten Freshman of the Year after being selected 15th overall by the Montreal Canadiens in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft.
He played high school hockey for Stevens Point Area High. He made his professional debut with the US National Development Team in 2017.
He led the US U20 hockey team to a gold medal at the 2021 IIHF World U20 Championship. He was previously the IIHF World U18 Championships MVP playing for the US U18 squad, and became the US development program's then-all-time leading scorer.
His older brother Brock has also played hockey for the Wisconsin Badgers. His dad Paul has been the long-time all-time leading goalscorer for the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
He and Trevor Zegras played together for the US' U20 squad that won the 2021 IIHF World U20 Championship.
