Director of New York City's Gladstone art gallery who had previously worked at Gagosian gallery. He is better known as the husband of actress Jennifer Lawrence .
He graduated with an art history degree from New York University .
He and Lawrence were introduced by the latter's best friend, Laura Simpson.
His parents James Maroney and Suki Fredericks owned an Oliver Hill Farm in Leicester, Vermont. He has a younger sister named Annabelle. In September 2021, Lawrence and Maroney announced that they were expecting their first child together. Lawrence gave birth to her son Cy in February 2022. They welcomed their second child in early 2025.
Sculptor Matthew Barney and painter Carroll Dunham are among the clients with whom he has worked.
