ABOUT CRAIG BREEN

Rally driver who won the WRC Academy Championship in 2011 and the WRC Super 2000 World Rally Championship in 2012. He has raced for the Peugeot Rally Academy in the European Rally Championship. He passed away in April 2023 at the young age of 33.

He got his start as a kart racer in 1999 before becoming a rally driver in 2007.

He has received the Young Irish Rally Driver of the Year award as well as the Billy Coleman Award. Ahead of the 2023 Croatia Rally, he was in an accident during a pre-event test, which ultimately led to his death.

His father, Ray, is an Irish rally champion.

He and the late Scottish driver Colin McRae are both famous rally drivers from the World Rally Championship organization.
