Canadian songwriter famous for his songs "Break Every Rule", "Starlit Afternoon", and "Warning". He is an actor as well and has appeared in Scott Pilgrim vs. the World , Being Erica , Lost Girl , and Degrassi: The Next Generation . He toured with Alessia Cara as her guitarist.

He got his start in music by playing in cover bands throughout high school.

He was a member of a band called We Are The Take from 2007 to 2010. His music has been featured in commercials for McDonald's, Tim Horton's, and Muller Yogurt. He plays guitar, piano, trumpet, and harmonica.

He is married to Helen Strickland .

He and Anna Kendrick starred in Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.
