ABOUT CURREN CAPLES

Street skateboarder who won his first X Games gold medal in Skateboard Park at the 2013 Munich games. He is known as a Skateboard Park specialist.

He grew up in Ventura, California, and started skating when he was only five years old.

He placed 15th at the 2013 Tampa Pro competition, his first event since turning pro in March of that year. He rides regular on the skateboard. He is also a surfer, having grown up doing the sport.

In the early stages of his career, his family helped him travel around the country for events.

Shortly after turning pro, he got sponsored by Flip Skateboards, joining Bob Burnquist on the team.
