ABOUT DD JACKSON

2000 Juno Award-winning jazz artist who achieved much across different media, including film, TV, theatre, and albums. He specializes as a composer in the aspects of writing, arranging and producing one-of-a-kind scores for film, television and various other media.

He graduated from the Lehman Engel BMI Advanced Musical Theatre Workshop.

He provided the score for The Ocean Room, a children's Canadian TV show. He has had his hand at recording over a dozen jazz CDs, working as either the leader or co-leader on each project. In 2019, he received his second Emmy Award for Outstanding Original Song.

He was born in Ottawa, but later moved to New York City. He has a wife named Elizabeth, and they have one son and one daughter together.

His collaborations were extensive, including James Carter , Ahmed Abdullah, Art Davis , and Regina Carter .
