ABOUT DALTON KNECHT
Collegiate shooting guard and athlete who initially enrolled in the University of Tennessee as a senior in the year 2024. Following that season, he was named a member of the first-team All-SEC and an AP All-American. In 2024, he was named the SEC Player of the Year.
As a freshman, he attended Northeastern Junior College. After two seasons, he then transferred to the University of Northern Colorado .
As a kid growing up, he wanted to be coached by Rick Barnes . He credits Kevin Durant as being his favorite basketball player. He stands six feet, six inches tall, and weighs close to 215 pounds. He was drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers but during his rookie season, he was traded to the Charlotte Hornets .
Although he was born in Fargo, North Dakota, he grew up living with his family in Thornton, Colorado. He is the son of Corey and Carrie Knecht.
He scored a college career-high 39 points while playing against John Calipari and the University of Kentucky .
