MMA fighter who has gained fame for his career fighting in the lightweight division within UFC. He finished 2020 ranked #6 in UFC's lightweight division. He had a January 2021 bout against Michael Chandler .

He made his pro mixed martial arts debut in 2009.

He won his third UFC performance of the night in July 2019 with his victory on UFC on ESPN. His headlining fight against Dustin Poirier at the June 2020 UFC on ESPN won the fight of the night honor.

He runs his own gym, The Combat Academy, in his hometown Auckland, New Zealand.

He defeated Paul Felder at the February 2020 UFC Fight Night, which he headlined, and won fight of the night.
