Professional defender that was signed by the Kaizer Chiefs Football Club in May 2015. He has also made appearances as a member of the South African national men's team.

He began his youth soccer career playing for Sporting FC.

He made his professional club debut playing against the Bidvest Wits Football Club on August 11, 2012 as a member of the Free State Stars Football Club.

He was born in Johannesburg, South Africa to a Portuguese father and a South African mother.

He is a native of Johannesburg just like Trevor Noah .
