ABOUT DANIEL MILLER

Perhaps better known by his professional name of "The Normal," this electronic, new wave, and post-punk producer and disc jockey founded an English music label known as Mute Records. In 2017, he co-authored a book about the history of the record company.

Before beginning his music career, he was a student in the television and film program at the Guildford School of Art.

He released some of his later-career remixes under the alias of "Sunroof." The group's first album was released in 2021.

He was born and raised in London, England.

He once toured with vocalist Jake Burns and other members of the Northern Irish punk band Stiff Little Fingers.
