ABOUT DANIEL TERMONT

Flemish politician and member of the Socialist Party who served as the mayor of Ghent. He was also the Vice President of the private gas company Fluxys.

He studied accounting at the Stedelijk Instituut voor Handel en Secretariaat.

He was awarded the decoration of Officer of the Order of the Crown.

He was born to a pair of shopkeepers, and his mother's family was very political.

He and Albert Mechelynck are both politicians from Belgium.
