He worked as a TV color commentator for St. Louis Blue games and covered the NHL for NBC, XM Satellite Radio, and ESPN.

He was born in Meaford, Ontario, Canada; his father was on the coaching staff of NAHL's Fernie Ghostriders in 2003-04.

He was the best man at the wedding of NHL star Steve Yzerman .
