ABOUT DARYL SHORE
Former goalkeeper who played professionally from 1993 to 1998; he went on to coach and was named the head coach of the NASL's Fort Lauderdale Strikers in 2010.
He played soccer at Birmingham–Southern College.
He played for the Birmingham Grasshoppers from 1993 to 1994 and the New Orleans Riverboat Gamblers from 1995 to 1998.
He grew up in Peekskill, New York.
Songwriter Hugh Martin also attended Birmingham–Southern College.
