ABOUT DAVE KRIEG

Former NFL quarterback best known for his time with the Seattle Seahawks, from 1980 until 1991.

He was a seventh-string quarterback in college; during his freshman season, he was given the opportunity to play and threw three touchdowns in four passes.

He had a stellar career and ranked in the top 15 in most passing categories at the time of his retirement in 1998.

His father, Myron, was a dairy farmer in Wisconsin.

He started his career as the backup quarterback to eventual Washington Redskins head coach Jim Zorn .
