ABOUT DAVID JACOBS
Television writer who became famous for writing the original soap opera Dallas as well as Knots Landing. In 2005, he wrote Knots Landing Reunion: Together Again. He has writing credits on more than 800 episodes of television throughout his prolific career.
He moved to New York to work on Grolier's encyclopedia after graduating with a BFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art.
He wrote, produced, directed, and created the series Paradise, which aired from 1988 to 1991. The final show he wrote before his death was the 2012 series Dallas .
He had a daughter named Alben with Lynn Pieshette before they divorced. He died from Alzheimer's.
He wrote the series Dallas, which starred Barbara Bel Geddes .
