Puerto Rican actor best known as Sgt. Angel Batista on Showtime's thriller series Dexter . He reprised his role in the popular sequel series, Dexter: Resurrection. He has appeared in more than 120 projects throughout his on-screen career.
He served as a New York City Police Officer from 1990 to 1996.
He had a breakout role as Enrique Morales on HBO's crime drama Oz . He played David Marrero in the hit TV show The Bear .
He married Liza Colon-Zayas.
He is the on-screen friend and co-worker of Michael C. Hall in Dexter.
