ABOUT DAY’RON SHARPE

Professional basketball player that was drafted by the Brooklyn Nets as the 29th overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft. Following his freshman year at the University of North Carolina , he finished second in the voting for ACC Freshman of the Year and Sixth Man of the Year.

He attended South Central High School prior to transferring to Montverde Academy for his senior season. He was a McDonald's All-American and also a participant in the Jordan Brand classic game.

On November 25, 2020 he became the fourth player in North Carolina's school history to record a double-double in his debut game after recording 13 points and 10 rebounds during a 79-60 win against the College of Charleston.

He grew up in Greenville, North Carolina where he lived with his parents, Derrick and Michelle Sharpe.

He was named a McDonald's All-American in 2020, just like Jalen Green and Jalen Suggs .
