ABOUT DEBORA GREEN

Illinois-born criminal who was sentenced to two concurrent forty-year prison terms for starting a fire which burned down her home and killed two of her children. She was also found to have poisoned her husband with ricin multiple times in an effort to kill him.

She was a promising student, having been named a National Merit Scholar and co-valedictorian of her high school. She later graduated from the University of Kansas School of Medicine.

Her case was detailed in the 1997 Ann Rule book "Bitter Harvest: A Woman's Fury, a Mother's Sacrifice."

Only one of her three children, Kate Farrar, survived the fire.

She and John Orr are both criminals who were convicted of arson.
