Half of the Ant & Dec duo who hosted I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here and Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway. He shared the Best Entertainment Presenter and Best Entertainment Award with his partner, Anthony McPartlin .

He became known as part of the pop duo, PJ & Duncan on TV's Byker Grove after graduating from St. Michael's Roman Catholic Primary School and St. Cuthbert's High School.

He hosted the popular talent show Britain's Got Talent .

He is the son of Anne and Alphonsus Donnelly; he has six older siblings named Dermott, Moira, Camelia, Eamonn, Patricia, and Martin. In 2015, he married Ali Astall . They welcomed a daughter named Isla in 2018. In 2022, they welcomed a second a child (a son named Jack).

He teamed up with Anthony McPartlin to become one of the most well-known television presenters in Britain's history.
