She first won Miss Puerto Rico Universe 2001 in order to qualify for Miss Universe.

In 2008, it was announced that she'd landed a coveted roll in the film I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell, based on the popular collection of narratives.

She dated actor Frank Perozo in 2012.

She guest starred on an episode of Smallville, which starred Tom Welling .
