ABOUT DIEGO DEMME

Professional defensive midfielder that was first signed by the Germany-based club DSC Arminia Bielefeld in the year 2010. He was later signed by S.S.C. Napoli in January of 2020. He's also played for the German men's national team during his professional career.

He initially began his youth soccer career playing for various teams like SpVg Hiddenhausen, SV Sundern, SV Enger-Westerenger and JSG Kirchlengern Stift Quernheim. He signed with Arminia Bielefeld in the year 2008. He was just a teenager at the time.

He made his official international team debut while playing against San Marino on June 10, 2017. He entered the game as a 14th-minute substitute in a 7-0 victory.

Growing up, he lived with his family in Herford, Germany. He now lives with his wife Alina and their two children.

He credits Gennaro Gattuso as being one of his biggest soccer influences growing up.
