Argentine-Italian football coach, former player, and professional beach soccer player, currently in charge of Spanish Tercera Federación club, Ibarra. He is best known as the son of Argentine famous soccer player, Diego Maradona . He has over 430,000 followers on Instagram under the handle diegomaradonajunior.

In 1993, he was legally recognized as Diego Maradona 's son by the Court of Naples, acquiring his father's last name as a consequence. He did not meet his father until 2003, and it was only in 2007 that Maradona publicly recognized him as his son. He had a passion for football and started playing at a young age, showing promise by emulating his father's skills. At 11 he was a part of the Napoli youth squad. He represented Italy at under-17 level. In 2004, he joined the youth squad of Genoa for a season.

In July 2021, he took on his first head coaching job as manager of Eccellenza amateurs Napoli United, a former team of his as a player. In June 2023, he was appointed new head coach of Eccellenza Campania club Pompei. In June 2024, he was hired by fellow Eccellenza Campania club Montecalcio. On October 21, 2024, he left Montecalcio by mutual consent, then signed for Spanish Tercera Federación club Ibarra the next day.

He was born in Naples, Italy as the result of an out-of-wedlock affair between Diego Maradona and a young local woman, Cristiana Sinagra. He has three children, Diego, Matias and India Nicole, with his wife, Nunzia Pennino.

There were rumors that Pope Francis , at that time the Archbishop of Buenos Aires, asked Diego Maradona to recognize him as his son.
