ABOUT DINA BOLUARTE

Peruvian politician who became the first woman President of Peru in December of 2022. She'd served as the first vice president and minister at the Ministry of Development and Social Inclusion under President Pedro Castillo .

She graduated as a lawyer from the University of San Martín de Porres.

She's president of the Apurímac Club in Lima and has worked at the National Registry of Identification and Civil Status as an attorney and officer since the year 2007. In 2004, she co-authored a book called The Recognition of Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law.

She's the youngest of 14 children. She was married to David Gómez Villasante, but they later divorced. They have two sons named David Eduardo Gómez Boluarte and Daniel Felwig Gómez Boluarte.

On January 10, 2023, Attorney General of Peru Patricia Benavides announced there would be investigations for the alleged crimes of genocide, aggravated homicide, and serious injuries against her, Prime Minister Alberto Otárola, Minister of the Interior Víctor Rojas, and Minister of Defense Jorge Chávez.
