ABOUT DIOGO COSTA

Soccer star and athlete who is best known for serving as a goalkeeper for Primeira Liga club Porto. He has also played for the Portugal national team, and he represented Portugal at the 2022 FIFA World Cup and UEFA Euro 2024.

He moved to Santo Tirso, Portugal, at age seven.

In 2024, he was called a "national hero" after becoming the first player in EUROs history to save all the penalties he's faced in a shootout. He also played for the national team at the under 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, and 21 levels. He stands six feet, one inch tall.

In 2022, he and his wife Catarina Machado had a son named Tomás Costa. In July 2024, they announced they were expecting a second child.
