Journalist and news anchor most famous for his hosting duties with the Channel One Russia network. He has received many prestigious honors for his work, including the TEFI Award for Best News Presenter and the Medal of the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland."

He began working at the radio station Echo of Moscow when he was 16 years old.

He was one of the torchbearers at the 2014 Winter Olympics torch relay.

He is the son of literary critic Dmitriĭ Petrovich Bak.

He hosted the annual television special Direct Line with Vladimir Putin in 2017.
