ABOUT DONALD M. ASHTON
Art director who earned an Academy Award nomination for his work on the 1972 film Young Winston.
His first film was Brighton Rock for which he worked as an uncredited draughtsman.
He later had a career redesigning restaurants and hotels, most notably the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Hong Kong.
He attended Boxlane School in London, where he studied to become an architect.
He worked on the film Young Winston with Robert Shaw .
