Ebrahim Raisi

ABOUT EBRAHIM RAISI

Former politician and president of Iran who served as the country's 8th president. He was a member of Iran's conservative Principlist Party and the Combatant Clergy Association and he was elected president in the year 2021. He served as Iran's president from the year 2021 until his death in a helicopter crash in the year 2024.

He began attending Qom Seminary at the young age of 15.

He was appointed the prosecutor of Karaj in the early 1980s. In the year 1985, he moved to the capital of Iran after being appointed as the deputy prosecutor of Tehran. He was once the chairman of the Astan Quds Razavi.

He and his wife Jamileh Alamolhoda had two kids.

Both he and Ali Khamenei served as the president of Iran.
