ABOUT EDDIE BRANDT

Opened Eddie Brandt's Saturday Matinee in North Los Angeles, which housed many films and artifacts cherished by movie buffs.

He concluded that there was a market for memorabilia after a customer bought movie posters from the theater in which he worked as an usher during his teens.

He worked as a writer for "The Colgate Comedy Hour" and "The Spike Jones Show" during the 1950s. He also worked on "Beany and Cecil" where Bob Clampett served as a writer, composer, and voice artist.

He married his wife Claire in 1968, after meeting her at Hanna-Barbara, where she was an animator and he was a writer.

He taught himself piano and composed music for Eddie Cantor , Spike Jones, Spade Cooley, and George Motola during the 1940s.
