ABOUT EDWARD V OF ENGLAND
King of England from April 9th to June 25th, 1483. He's best known as being one of the Princes in the Tower, a mystery that captivated England. After he and his brother were declared illegitimate and the throne was taken by Richard III , the boys were sent to the Tower of London where they both mysteriously disappeared.
He was born in a medieval home attached to Westminster Abbey during England's Wars of the Roses. He was given the title Prince of Wales in the year 1471.
He and his brother Richard are interred in Westminster Abbey.
His predecessor was his father Edward IV of England , while his successor was his uncle Richard III . His mother was Elizabeth Woodville.
William Shakespeare featured him as a character in his play Richard III.
