ABOUT EFTHIMIOS RENTZIAS

Famed 6'11" center who played for the Philadelphia 76ers and for several European teams during his playing career that spanned from 1993 until 2005.

He was a first-round 1996 NBA Draft pick, 23rd overall, but opted to stay with P.A.O.K. Thessaloniki, for whom he had been playing with since 1993.

He became the second Greek-born NBA player when he signed with the 76ers.

He was born in Trikala, Greece.

He and the Greek Under-19 team defeated Stephon Marbury and the U.S. team on their way to the gold medal at the 1995 FIBA U-19 World Championship; he was named MVP of the competition.
