Composed for theatre, film, and television, as well as for orchestras, choirs, string quartets, and small ensembles.
He and the Egil Kapstad's Trio worked with the Norwegian Melodi Grand Prix as a small orchestra in 1965.
He was hired by the Musikkonservatoriet in Kristiansand to teach jazz history and improvisation.
He was born in Oslo, the capital of Norway and the country's most heavily populated city.
He collaborated with many jazz legends, including Chet Baker .
