ABOUT ELENA LLINYKH
2015 Russian national champion figure skater with partner Ruslan Zhiganshin who took home a gold medal in the team event at the 2014 Sochi Games. She won bronze at the same games in the ice dancing event.
She trained in single skating early on before her mother recommended she try ice dancing.
She won gold at the 2010 World Junior Championships in ice dancing.
She was born in Aktau, Kazakhstan and raised in Moscow, Russia. Her parents divorced when she was two.
Her partner at the 2014 Sochi Olympics was Nikita Katsalapov .
