After rising to fame as a presenter on the Norwegian weather forecast program Storm Weather Center, she became the host of TVNorge's 71 Degrees North and BBC1's Breakfast TV.

Early in her career, she co-hosted a game show called Bykampen.

She competed in the 2009 season of the Norwegian reality series Shall We Dance.

Her relationship with Torgeir Steinsto produced two children. In 2010, she published a memoir of her pregnancy.

She and fellow Norwegian television personality Harald Ronneberg were born in the same year.
