ABOUT EMILY CARMICHAEL

American film director, screenwriter and animator known for co-writing the 2018 film Pacific Rim Uprising and the 2022 film Jurassic World: Dominion . Her award-winning short films and animations have been screened at Sundance, Tribeca, Slamdance, South by Southwest , and many other film festivals around the world.

She got her bachelor's degree at Harvard University with honors in painting and literature. She then got her master's in film at New York University .

She was signed by Amblin Entertainment to write and direct the film Powerhouse to be produced by Colin Trevorrow , Steven Spielberg and Simon Kinberg .

She is in a relationship with dialect coach Erik Singer.

In February 2018, Colin Trevorrow announced they would be writing the script for Jurassic World: Dominion.
