ABOUT ERIC CHONG
Canadian chef who gained fame when he won MasterChef Canada at just 22 years old. One of the youngest to ever win the cooking competition show.
Chong discovered his love for cooking while in college at Hamilton McMaster University. Before getting into cooking, he was studying Chemical Engineering.
He was encouraged to pursue competing in MasterChef by his mother's hairdresser. In February 2022, he was featured on the cover of the magazine Canada Food & Drink. In 2015, he and chef Alvin Leung opened a restaurant in Toronto.
His grandfather was supportive of his desire to be a chef.
He is a fan of actors such as Joseph Gordon-Levitt , Chris Hemsworth , and Tom Hardy .
