ABOUT ERICK RIANELLI

Brazillian journalist and reporter known for his work focusing on LGBT issues and investigative journalism, producing both written newspaper articles and appearing on television for the company TV Globo.

He attended the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro prior to starting his professional journalism and writing career.

He is fluent in both Portuguese and English. In June of 2020, his declaration of love for his partner went viral on social media for Lovers' Day. It was well received, but there was some backlash which sparked controversy after a priest made homophobic comments.

He was born and raised in Brazil.

He married Pedro Figueiredo in the year 2022 after being with him since the year 2013. They both work together at TV Globo.
