ABOUT ERIK BRäNNSTRöM

Veteran defenceman and athlete that was originally taken by the Vegas Golden Knights as a teenager during the 2017 NHL draft. A few years later, he was then acquired by the Ottawa Senators via trade in February 2019. He has also played hockey professionally in the Switzerland National League.

He first began playing hockey as a young boy coming up. He eventually earned an opportunity to play for Sweden based youth squad HV71.

He made his official NHL debut as a member of the Ottawa Senators while playing against the St. Louis Blues on the date of March 14, 2019. He and his teammates won the match 2-0. He stands 5'10" tall and weights just over 180 pounds.

Growing up, he lived with his family in Eksjö, Sweden. He also has an older brother named Isac, that plays hockey professionally too.

He was once packaged in a trade that also included Mark Stone .
