His mother began her professional career as a cleaning woman before eventually moving on to realty. She became famous for her home renovation projects undertaken on HGTV's Rehab Addict.
His mother specializes in refurbishing old houses to fit a contemporary lifestyle. She began her tenure as host of Rehab Addict in 2010.
He was born in Michigan, and raised in the Detroit area. His mother renovated a house originally built in 1904 for the two to live in.
