ABOUT EZEQUIEL "EQUI" FERNANDEZ

Professional Argentine soccer player known for playing as a central defensive midfielder and playing for Al-Qadsiah in the Saudi Pro League, Boca Juniors, and Tigre in Argentina. He made his Olympic debut for Argentina in the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics.

He began playing soccer at a young age. He joined Boca Juniors' youth academy in 2012 through a collaboration agreement with FC Barcelona. He made his professional debut for Boca Juniors in May 2021 during a match against Patronato in the Copa de la Liga Profesional. He was loaned to Tigre in 2022. He transferred to Al-Qadsiah in the Saudi Pro League in August 2024.

He was part of the Argentina U-17 team that won the 2019 South American U-17 Championship. He also played in the 2019 FIFA U-17 World Cup held in Brazil.

His full name is Ignacio Ezequiel Agustín Fernández Carballo.

He has played alongside Nacho Fernández , Julián Quiñones , and Mateo Retegui on  Al-Qadsiah.
