ABOUT FAHRETTIN KOCA

Rose to fame as Turkey's Minister of Health for its 66th government. He was appointed to the position in 2018 following that year's presidential elections.

He graduated from Istanbul University Medical School in 1988.

He helped lead Turkey through the COVID-19 pandemic as one of the country's top health experts. He served as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Istanbul Medipol University.

He has four children with his wife, Hale.

He was appointed as the Minster of Health for Turkey by then-president Recep Tayyip Erdogan .
