Fillipino portrait artist and painter who was skilled for his use of light in his drawings.
He became an apprentice to Don Fabian de la Rosa at the age of 13 which led to his success.
He is believed to have completed more than 10,000 pieces of art.
He was married twice and had 14 children.
He was influenced by many artists, including John Singer Sargent .
